Genuine Ford Part Number 4C3Z-9B246F STC Fitting upgrade kit This kit repairs a design problem with the STC (Snap to Connect) fitting that was a common cause of high pressure oil leaks.

The new style fitting is already removed from the kit and installed on the high pressure pump for you. You will receive the remainder of the kit which includes the high pressure oil pump cover gasket and other seals and gaskets necessary for installation of your new HPOP. NOTES: Failure of this pump is a very common issue with the 6.0L Powerstroke. We very strongly recommend replacing the high pressure oil pump intake screen located in the bottom of the high pressure oil reservoir below the engine oil cooler.

In a large majority of cases where the high pressure oil pump has failed, we find that the high pressure oil pump screen is torn. If the screen is not replaced, the high pressure oil pump will fail again in a very short period of time. The core charge is in addition to the listing price.

Without core charges, there would be no rebuilt parts available, leaving customers to pay the exorbitant cost of new parts, which would be even higher without the competition of rebuilt / remanufactured parts. Cores that would NOT be acceptable are those that were in a fire, have been left outside in the weather and are rusted, or are physically broken.
