Function:Help block impurities and particles in your fuel before they can enter your engine, improve performance by ensuring a uniform fuel flow. Optimally screening out 98% of abrasives such as sand, dust and bits of metal before they get into your oil. Package Includes:10 sets of FD4616 fuel filter and 10 sets of FL2016 oil filter, please check it. NOT FIT 2006 E450 6.0L. The primary fuel filter is located in the Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module, mounted to the driver side frame rail. The Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module also contains the water-fuel separator. The secondary filter is positioned on the top side of the engine, just right of the engine oil filter. Recommends replaces both fuel filters at 15,000 mile intervals under "normal" service conditions and 10,000 mile intervals under "severe" service conditions.
The primary fuel filter install. Remove the drain plug uses a 6 mm Allen wrench for the water-fuel separator and drain the fuel into a container. Allow the Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module to drain completely, then fish out the drain plug and dispose of the fuel.
Remove the primary fuel filter cap with a 36 mm socket. Remove the fuel filter from the cap by simply pulling it out. There is a retaining clasp on the fuel filter that snaps into the fuel filter cap.
Remove and replace the o-ring from the fuel filter cap. Install the new fuel filter, minding the orientation of the locking clasp and the o-ring. The o-ring side of the fuel filter is not inserted into the cap.The fuel filter should lock into the cap. Lightly coat both o-rings (cap and bottom of filter) of the new fuel filter with clean motor oil before installing into the Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module.
Torque cap to 19 lb-ft (25 N-m). Reinstall the fuel-water separator drain plug. The secondary fuel filter install. Remove the cap with either a 24 mm socket or 1/2 inch square drive. Remove and discard the used fuel filter.Drain the fuel filter housing of any fuel. Install the new fuel filter into the fuel filter housing. Remove and replace the o-ring on the fuel filter cap.
Lightly coat the o-ring with clean motor oil, then reinstall the cap. Torque to 10 lb-ft (14 N-m); do not overtighten the cap. Turn the key into the "run" position (as you would to initiate the glow plug sequence) for 30 seconds, then back to the "off" position.Repeat this procedure a minimum of 3 times in order to prime the fuel system before starting. Complete filtration of engine oil, which ensures high performing fuel injectors and long engine life. Optimally screening out 98% of abrasives such as such as carbon, sand, dust and bits of metal before they get into your oil. Helps protect against engine wear. Protect your engine and keep your emissions control systems working properly.
Precisely engineered for your Power Stroke Diesel engine. The oil filter should be changed every 7,500 miles under normal operating conditions and 5,000 miles under "severe" operating conditions. Place a suitable drain pan (minimum 15 quart capacity) below the drain plug. Remove the drain plug with a 19 mm or 3/4 box end wrench and allow the engine oil to drain completely.
Remove the oil filter cap on the top of the engine using a 36 mm socket. Pull the oil filter and cap straight upwards to remove it from the filter canister. Remove the oil filter from the filter cap by pulling it away from the cap. Remove the old oil filter cap o-ring, Lubricate the new one with clean motor oil, then install it in place. Install the new oil filter.
Note that the oil filter clips into the oil filter housing. You will hear it snap into place if it is installed correctly. Reinstall the assembly and torque cap to 25 Nm (19 lb-ft).
After adding the oil, run engine for 3 minutes and check for leaks.
